& Associates ran sophisticated field operations for political
campaigns across the county.
Six years ago, we expanded our community outreach and
grasstops business to international and domestic corporate
clients.
Burnside & Associates is certified as a Woman Business Enterprise
(WBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) with the State of California. We are also certified by the County of Los Angeles
as a Community Business Enterprise (CBE).
For our client's printing needs, we work with Union
vendors who use environmentally-friendly equipment and offer a full range of recycled
papers.
Meet Sue Burnside, President of Burnside & Associates
Sue Burnside's expertise is in voter identification,
targeting and contact, as well as coalition building,
neighborhood organizing, direct mail and post-election voter canvasses.
Among the highlights of Burnside's historic campaign
wins: Senator John Kerry for President's victory in the
state of Oregon in 2004; an independent expenditure PAC that moved Colorado's
House and Senate back to the Democratic column; Vice President Al Gore's 2000 victory in the state of New Mexico; Wendy Greuel for Los Angeles City Council 2001, a special election decided by a 225-vote win margin in a post-election canvass; Joe Baca for Congress 1999; Lois Capps for Congress in 1998; L.A. Unified's Proposition BB in 1997, the second attempt by the School District to pass
the largest local school bond in California history; Jane Harman for Congress 1994 -- an election was so close that Harman's opponent traveled
to Washington expecting to be sworn in, only to return
to the district two weeks later after Harman's come-from-behind victory created by Burnside's vote-by-mail program; and Tom Hayden for Senate 1992, with the underdog Hayden beating the better-funded incumbent Hirsch Rosenthal by 582 votes.
Sue Burnside grew up in Southern California and got
her political start during Santa Monica's acrimonious rent control battles.
She lives in Topanga Canyon with her spouse and two teen-aged children.
Sue is Co-Chair of the National Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund's VCB board, sponsors
a baseball team and funds two college scholarships.
Meet Stephanie Olson -
Senior Consultant
Stephanie Olson brings 15 years of campaign organizing experience with progressive
candidates, issues and corporations.
Having worked on several national, statewide and local
campaigns throughout the United States, Stephanie is
not only effective working in the field, she has focused
much of her career creating systems and training models
for staff and leadership development.
She studied business and organizational communication
to efficiently integrate the resource development,
PR and marketing aspects of grassroots candidate and
issue campaigns.
Stephanie joined Burnside & Associates four years ago and currently lives in Northern
California.
Meet Rhonda Ammouri-
Consultant
Rohnda Ammouri brings 4 years of campaign organizing experience with candidates, issues and corporations.
Having worked on every political level
from City Council to Statewide measures.
Rhonda brings a unique approach to her work that allows
her to fix campaign problen as well as implement a
new program.
Rohonda joined Burnside & Associates two years ago and currently lives in Southern
CA.
Meet Arianne Garcia-
Consultant
Arianne is joining our firm after a huge victory for
Juan Vargas, where after 48,000 ballots were case we won by 22 vote after being behind by 505 votes on election day.
Arianne worked as a organizer at EQCA for a year in
their Eastside office and out proformed her peers weekly.
Arianne is a great implementor that can make a canvass
pproduce incrdible results.
Arianne joined Burnside & Associates this year.
